We Find What Broke, Then Fix It
What a repair call looks like
It usually starts on a hot afternoon or the first cold night. The AC runs but the air is warm, or the furnace clicks and gives up. You call, a person answers, and we ask what the system is doing, how old it is, and what brand it is if you know. That tells us which parts to put on the truck.
At the house, the tech starts with the cheap checks: power, the thermostat, the filter, the drain. Then the parts that fail most: the capacitor, the contactor, the igniter and flame sensor, refrigerant pressures. In Brentwood's ranch homes we often end up in the attic, where an old duct joint has come loose. Up the canyons, we check the long line set between the condenser pad and the house. Toward Santa Monica, we look for salt-air corrosion on the outdoor coil.
Once we find it, you see the failed part and get the repair in writing before we replace it. If the system is near the end, a compressor gone or a coil leaking in more than one place, we write up a replacement option beside the repair and let you choose. Most of the time the repair is the answer.
How we work a repair
The same order on every call: listen, test, write it down, fix the cause.
Brentwood Streets, Known
Ranch houses on the flats with original attic ducts, canyon lots where the condenser sits on a pad below the house, and the tighter blocks toward Sawtelle and Rancho Park. Each one fails in its own way.
Estimate in Writing
We name the failed part and write the repair down before we replace it. You approve it first.
A Person on the Phone
Phones are answered 24/7. Tell us the symptom, and we book a same-day window when one is open.
Fix the Cause
A frozen coil gets an airflow check, not just a thaw. A leaking system gets the leak found, not just more refrigerant.
